Changelog

v0.6.0

2026-08-09

  • Chronicle is now a GM toolkit, not just an XP tracker. Each campaign enables the tools its table needs — the XP tracker is one of them — from the new Tools section in Settings. The nav highlights the page you're on.
  • New Map tool, built for Mythic Bastionland realms and usable with any hex map: upload your map image and Chronicle aligns a coordinate grid over it — margins around the grid are detected and excluded automatically. Hexkit users can drop in their .map file and skip calibration entirely; everyone else gets an auto-fitted grid with live fine-tuning.
  • Track myths on the map: name, notes, omens revealed (0–6), and dormant / active / resolved status. A party token marks where the company currently rides, and the Myths panel ranks every unresolved myth by hex distance from it. Resolved myths retire to their own list. The map view is a whiteboard canvas: everything below the nav is map, with the title, grid and coordinate toggles (off by default, remembered per browser), a draggable Myths window, and zoom controls floating over it. Drag to pan (with momentum), pinch, scroll, or double-tap to zoom; fullscreen hides the nav too. On phones the hex details open as a bottom sheet; on desktop they pop up in a card right where you clicked.
  • Maps stay editable after upload: replace the image, re-fit or fine-tune the grid, rename, or delete — for realms that change as the myths advance.
  • Campaign creation is simpler: pick a system and choose which tools the campaign starts with — OSR systems default to the XP tracker, Mythic Bastionland to the Map tool. Every tool is configured on its own card in Settings.

v0.5.0

2026-07-06

  • Old-School Essentials now includes the 15 Advanced Fantasy classes and demihuman race-classes from the Advanced Player's Tome — Acrobat, Assassin, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Illusionist, Knight, Paladin, and Ranger, plus Drow, Duergar, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, and Svirfneblin — each with its own XP table, alongside the seven classic classes.
  • Dungeon Crawl Classics is back as a system preset, now that its XP tables are cleared for use.

v0.4.1

2026-07-05

  • Fixed a stray horizontal scrollbar on the landing page.

v0.4.0

2026-05-29

  • Companions can now have a per-adventure XP share that overrides the campaign default — useful when a hireling negotiates a different cut for one outing.
  • OSRIC now includes all ten character classes, with corrected XP tables.
  • The supported-systems list shows a compatibility badge for each system, with full credits on a new Attributions page.
  • Settings now save automatically as you edit — no more Save button. The page is split into Campaign and Feats, with less-used options tucked under "Advanced".
  • Starting a new campaign is simpler: pick a system and its XP table and retainer label fill in for you. Choose "Other…" to build a custom XP table.
  • Refreshed the landing page with live previews of the app instead of screenshots.
  • Removed Dungeon Crawl Classics from the system presets for now.
  • Fixed: Back and Cancel on the new-campaign page led to a missing page.

v0.3.3

2026-05-28

  • This page (the changelog) is now public. Linked from the footer.

v0.3.2

2026-05-19

  • Landing page loads faster: the hero screenshot is responsive and the fonts preload.

v0.3.1

2026-05-19

  • Fix: deleting a campaign that had ever run an adventure used to fail with a 500. It works now.

v0.3.0

2026-05-18

  • Dark mode. Toggle in the nav; follows OS preference by default.
  • New typography: EB Garamond on headings, Source Sans 3 for body and UI.
  • The campaign label in the nav is a dropdown now. Switch campaigns from anywhere.
  • Settings has a Delete campaign action (type the campaign name to confirm). Replaces the old archive behavior.
  • Feats can be disabled (kept around but inactive) or deleted outright.
  • Leveling-pace presets (Slow / Standard / Fast) set the feat-award percentages in one pick.
  • Campaigns gained an optional description field.
  • Two new system presets: OSRIC and Basic Fantasy RPG. OSE's Classic and Advanced classes are all in one preset now.
  • Feat picker searches descriptions, not just names.
  • New Privacy page. Analytics opt-in (off by default).
  • Custom error pages instead of the framework default.

v0.2.0

2026-05-10

  • Email verification and password reset, both by email link.
  • Adventure feat picker shows descriptions inline; clear-selection button added.
  • Pressing Esc while adding an award closes the drawer cleanly.

v0.1.0

2026-05-07

  • Initial release. Tracks PCs and retainers across adventures.
  • Adventures combine monsters, treasure, and feat awards. Completing one grants XP and recomputes levels.
  • Feats of Exploration tier system (Minor / Major / Extraordinary / Campaign) drives the feat-award math.
